Red Bull's Supernatural sneak peak.

Still looking forward to watching the actual event, but why such a long wait? NBC's gotta know that the hype is sure to die down until then; and besides we already know who won. (Anyone catch that leaked video of the top three runs a few weeks back?)...Anyways I just hope that when they do air it on national television March 31st, they will at least spare us with the played out dubstep/super slow-mo/snowboarding tri-fecta.

Wakeboarding and the 2020 Olympics.

Open publication - Free publishing - More wake

Stumbled upon this publication from the International Wakeboard Waterski Federation (IWWF) in order to persuade the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to include cable wakeboarding in the 2020 Summer Olympics.

For those who don't know, wakeboarding has been shortlisted along with eight other sports to be added in 2020. Not sure what the chances are, but judging from this brochure I think it has a legitimate shot of making it. Take a minute, judge for yourself....

Didier + Brothers Factory = ARK2.

ARK2 from BROTHERSFACTORY.COM on Vimeo.
My old wakeboard friend, now turned pro snowboarder, Didier Godbout has been busy filming this season with the boys at Brothers Factory. Stoked to see Dids getting his due, and I can't wait to see what they've been up to. Here's a little sneak peek of what it takes to film with the best...

For more on Didier, make sure to pick up the latest issue of Snowboard Canada and flip to p. 88...

The 1st Annual Standard Classic Shinny Tournament

1st Annual "STANDARD CLASSIC INVITATIONAL" shinny tournament from House Edge Productions on Vimeo.
This past Sunday, my boy Sammy 'Franchise' Francis organized the first annual Standard Classic Invitational hockey tournament to raise money for our favourite outdoor rink located just behind Elgin Street.

The event was sponsored by the Standard Luxury Tavern, local microbrewery Kichesippi Beer Co., and Top of the World. It was a great day of hockey that saw eight teams (Oz/Town, Manx, Woody's, Hooley's, Kichesippi, Top of the World, Fresco, Standard) compete for the ultimate bragging rights and the coveted Kichesippi keg trophy.

Players and spectators alike braved freezing temperatures to join in on the great day of hockey, beer, and community spirit. We were fortunate enough to have had our friend Jessie Carde from House Edge Productions drop in to capture all the action on film and put together this really nice video. Enjoy!

The elbow story with Raph Derome.

I knew it was bad, but Raph never talked about it being this bad...

Breddas.

Breddas from breddas on Vimeo.
When I was in Thailand, this group of Swedish boys were absolutely killing it off the kickers! No idea where they came from, but hopefully we'll be seeing for of them in the future...(Riders and edit Benjamin Hoppe, Mattias Hoppe, Jeremia Hoppe, and Ken Ekblom Johansson)

Slingshot's artful versatility.

Until summer comes, figured my brother's Slingshot Kine 137 (art by Mike Ennen) would make for an appropriate mantle piece!

New THAILAND edit coming VERY soon...

For the last month or so I've slowly been putting together the follow up to our "One Week in Thailand" edit that was released while we were actually still in Thailand. I've had a lot of fun working on this project. It was such a great trip, and so hopefully this video will do it justice! Stay tuned, if all goes well it should be uploaded and ready to share by tomorrow.

In the meantime, just enjoy the teaser one more time...
